Women bring a lot of value to the sport of powerlifting. In the beginning stages of business I had a lot of designs that were geared only towards men. After traveling the road and seeing the high number of women who work their butts off to be in this sport I felt it was more than necessary to design something that paid homage to them. Now I will be the first to admit a lot of my ideas were not good at all. I wanted something simple, inexpensive to make, and very catchy. Fortunately, Mama knows Best! Convinced I had a great catch phrase for a shirt I gave my mother a call. My original idea was “girls who lift are the best”. I promise to you all I could hear disappointment in the silence as I awaited her response.  My mother replied by saying “boy that was wack”! “Come on son don’t do us like that”. With her being a big supporter I felt about two inches tall after she said what she said. To be honest………..she was right.  However, it didn’t take long for me to redeem myself ten seconds later I said okay how about “This Girl is Worth the Weight” W-E-I-G-H-T? The instant enthusiasm in her voice let me know that this was going to be a big success. Thus far this design has been a best seller for this company. The play on words has never been more interchangeable making a number of statements. Whether it be the weight that they lift, or the weight that they carry she is definitely worth it.
